Soundscape: Paint the town!

Hi,

I am the co-producer of a fun new arts and theatre festival coming to Medway this September called Paint The Town!!

The festival in collaboration with Battersea Arts Centre aims to bring great performance to Medway towns and to provide opportunities for local creative and creative groups to come together and showcase their skills.

One event we are excited about this autumn is our finale event: Soundscape on the 27th September, 7pm in George Vaults, Rochester.

This piece is a community project looking at improvisation, listening and mutual composition. There are no rehearsals and no song sheets, just a group of people (singers and non singers) creating sounds and silences and watching them grow as a symphony, whilst dancers improvise to the silences and soundtrack created.

This community experiment doesnt work without you, the community. So we would absolutely love singers, non singers, friends and neighbours to join us for the event and join in. No skill is necessary just people who want to try something fun in a friendly atmosphere, join us to celebrate the end of the festival and work together to create something special.
